Here’s how to get married at Icehotel: let me help! Icehotel is an art installation and boutique hotel in the small village of Jukkasjärvi. It’s a beautiful locations for a wedding and offers both indoor and outdoor spaces for your ceremony along with lots of options for a memorable and unique experience.

 

Icehotel Location

Icehotel is beautifully located along the Torne River in the small village of Jukkasjärvi, Swedish Lapland. This is my home village and a place I am very proud to live. We have rushing waters during the summer and frozen lake highway during the winter. We also have midnight sun and polar night, and forests of green for as far as the eye can see. I have a long relationship with Icehotel and though they have a selection of wedding packages, my approach is bespoke. I coordinate your vision using elements from all over the area so you have a truly unique day.

 

Get Married in Icehotel Ceremony Hall

Construction of the winter hotel begins at the end of October and opens for guests at the beginning of December. Using the Ceremony Hall at Icehotel, gives you the unique experience of having your wedding ceremony inside a work of art. While the Ceremony Hall features a new design each year, the theme is always stunning and a one-of-a-kind feature of your wedding day. It can accommodate a cozy elopement with just the two of you, a full guest list of up to 50 people as well as anything in between.

The Ceremony Hall is  located inside the winter hotel and is set in sprawling archways of ice . You begin your walk down the aisle from these archways  to the reindeer fur lined privacy doors. As the doors open, you can choose to pause for a big reveal, or take these final steps to the alter with your partner. The temperature inside the ceremony hall is minus 5, even during the coldest days in December and January, so you can stay warm with some choice wool under layers. To make your wedding ceremony more unique, you can choose live music or a special song selection playing via bluetooth. The ceremony hall is kept private for your ceremony and photos. Following your ceremony, we recommend a champagne toast in the iconic Icebar.

Summer Wedding on Ice at Icehotel 365

Icehotel’s Winter Hotel is open for weddings and elopements from the middle of December through to the beginning of April.
