I loved working at CBC, but when it was time to move on. I was unsure where to go next, so I went for a 900 km walk across Spain (the Camino de Santiago). At the end, I decided to keep walking (so to speak) and I headed to South America where I spent 2 years working in different hostels, learning about adventure travel. And South America was definitely an adventure for me. When I came home, I decided to become a teacher
That's how I came to Sweden, as a teacher working in Stockholm. But I fell in love with the North after my sambo and I moved up here and had our 2 children. I'm obsessed with polar night and how bright the moon is and how pink the horizon gets. I've lived up here for 5 years and I am now a permanent resident of Jukkasjärvi! After spending the last season as the wedding coordinator for Icehotel, I was able to get to know all the local vendors and venues in the region. And my gosh, does this region have so much to offer!
Nice to meet you and welcome to Arctic Weddings of Lapland! Thank you for stopping by. This is my passion and this service is something I've been developing in my heart for many years.
As an event planner, I am very organized and especially interested in details. I mean, of course I would have to be! These are the basics of event planning. But for me, the most important part of planning any event is to connect with YOU. I love people. I love connecting with people and I am very good at making people feel comfortable. And you must feel comfortable with me and confident in my abilities, because my job is really to help you relax on your special day, be fully present, HAPPY, and enjoy all the emotion and love that will surround you.
To help you get to know me and feel comfortable with me, here is a little about who I am:
I'm originally from Canada, but I've been living in Sweden for a decade. Time goes fast when I see it written like that! I spent many years working at CBC Television in Toronto doing Talent Relations. For nearly a decade, I organized charitable events and in-house events, public appearances and tours for all the network stars. Very fun job in your 20's!
