Book a tour

Whether your guests are here for a day or multiple days to be at your wedding, there are activities to fit all groups. Swedish Lapland offers lots of short and long adventure tours. If you’re looking a wedding day activity to occupy your guests while you get ready, we recommend a tour of Icehotel. Guided tours run every hour and guests can learn about the history of the hotel and see the art. Warm clothing is provided, so guests can be in their wedding best without having to worry about changing later.

Something adventurous to pass the time might better suit your guests, so we recommend a snowmobile or dogsled fika tour. Fika is the Swedish tradition of a coffee and cake break, therefore these tours include a coffee and cake break. The tour runs 1.5 hours and with departures multiple times a day, guests will definitely be back from an early tour in time for your ceremony.

 

Schedule your group activities

If your wedding party is here for multiple days, we recommend scheduling the best group activities in advance. Many operators offer lunch tours, so you can Meet the Reindeer and have lunch before learning how to drive a reindeer sled. In the evening we can arrange a Northern Lights by snowmobile tour. These tours offer the best views of the Aurora, and with Lapland’s position in the Aurora Oval, a sighting is almost guaranteed. Snowmobile tours are the best if some guests are children. There’s always the option to ride in a sled.

Time and budget permitting, we recommend adding a tour where you drive your own dogsled. This is only available to adults, but is one of the best ways to experience the Swedish Lapland wilderness. Children 6 and up can ride in the guide sled.
